More Abercot Creations

Our son and his girlfriend have a pug, Hailey, and we love her! I've designed and sewed a couple of "pug ponchos" for her. Here are a few photos (Hailey graciously modeling her Halloween, poncho):

Please meet "Firehouse Dog Figaro" modeling a cloak that easily fits around a small-sized doggie, and under her/his belly with tabs, and the velcro stitched to the tabs lets you adjust to doggie’s size. (The doggie model here, Stripe, is one of my son’s little stuffed play dogs from his childhood, made by his Grandmother, and lovingly filled many hours of imagination and play over the years.)

And, a delightful Jingle Joy pooch cloak for Christmas (a flannel print with smiley, pudgy penguins in Christmas d├ęcor, jingle bells, yule wreaths, candy cane striped scarves, and snowflake sweaters)

Honey and Tea . . .

Nothing is better for thee than honey and tea!

Everyone knows Pooh bear (A.A. Milne), and Pooh loves honey. And honey and tea - heavenly!

: )

I found a wonderful tea shop website and tea poems - A visit is well worth it! Here's a sweet tea poem on the site -

When I need a little lift
I get together with a friend
and have a little Tea with Thee.
We have a lot of fun and talk
the friendship means a lot to me.
It really does a heart good
to have a friend like you.
How great this world would be
if they could see you and me
and find a friend as great as you!
Then they too could have someone
to have Tea with Thee...

Tea Cozy Decorations

I love to design and sew tea cozies and create bead and ribbon pendants to decorate them. Here are a couple of my latest creations.

This is a collage using photos of a pendant I made using ribbons and a Victorian button. Photography is another love of mine. Please visit my photography website at and my

"The Tea Party" by Jessica Nelson North

A sweet tea poem for your day . . .

The Tea Party
by Jessica Nelson North

I had a little tea party
This afternoon at three,
'Twas very small -
Three guests in all -
Just I, myself and me.

Myself ate all the sandwiches,
While I drank all the tea,
'Twas also I who ate the pie,
And passed the cake to me.
